  • Big project

Big project, start planning since last year, can finally put them together now.

Got all these sitting in my room for over a month (some even longer………)

    Finally, get moving~!

1st time I actually take out the mother board. ASUS P5E3 @ WIFI-N. (MRP: $3xxx…… I got it from yahoo auction $1xxx)

Got built in WIFI-AP support 802.11n (300MB/sec) with 2 antenna.

Kingston DDR3 1800MHz 1GB x 2 = 2GB  ( I always love Kingston’s RAM, all my rams are from Kingston, Notebooks, desktops~~with lifetime warrenty. ) fastest I can get so far. Waited for over a month before stock in.

CPU Fan, faster CPUs come with smaller fan….. What’s the logic? But that works well for me, soon you will know why……

Damn expensive CPU: Intel C2Q Q9450, just under QX series…………. Just as expensive as the Rams. (now you know how much the Rams are.)

Put the CPU into the 775 socket and lock it up.

    + CPU Fan cooling………………..

Get into the case. Applying the CPU cooler need alot of pressure. I even banded the board. The I/O panel, is black, is cool~

Power supply: my beloved Cooler master. I just love it for no reason. Rearranged the cables before using it…… I did it a month ago, i was too bored.

Without Power supply VS with power supply….. now you can see why the height of the CPU fan is crucial. If it is alittle bit taller, the Power supply can’t fit in and I will have to put it somewhere else.

Front panel: Card reader+USB+audio+ IEEE1394+sata; fan speed control x 2 + Light switch x 2; DVD-RW with light scrib.    Back: Power supply is locked with blue screws. so pretty.

Not ready yet~! but already 3am…….. better continue tomorrow….. before I goto bed, let’s put it back in one piece or spare parts laying on the floor will hurt my feet when I step on them.

From the side board you can see the colorful cables, that’s pretty much how it will look like when it’s ready, not as messy, and with lights.
