Big Dinner on 25-5-2009
Bro last exam was held on 25/05/2009. We promised him to celebrate his "return to earth from hell". Parents, bro, his gf (Miss J) and I went to have spanish in Wanchai.
Uno Mas.6:30pm, after work. we had a table at the balcony booked.
We were so hungry the moment we settled we ordered some drinks and tapas.
Mr & Mrs Ho each had a glass of Spanish red wine. They came with a Tortilla tapas. According to bro, this is to avoid insects from getting into the wine.
Mr Ho Jr and I had a Jar of classic sangria.
For food, 1st round - Tapas. The garlic prawn was good. The one with mayo on top was Tortilla, it was like omelette, with meat and potato inside. This one didn't have meat hence it wasn't spicy either. The garlic bread sticks were for dipping the garlic olive oil came with the prawn. That's my glass of sangria. Too much wine and it was bitter.
Food above was gone in 60 seconds............................... so we started round 2 - main dishes.
The spanish rice, I can't remember the name, but it was good. abit burnt, eith tomato source. Very tasty.
The pork was as good as the one in Fernando, Macau. Just that this one is sweet because it was cooked with fruits. I'd prefer the one with salt.
Clams steamed in white wine source. We finished the clams and Mr. Ho finished the source.
Before finishing the main dishes, Miss J arrived so we re-ordered some more Tapas.
Another Tortilla and a steak on tomato bread. This tortilla with sausage and was spicy. The steak was very tender and the tomato bread was juicy.
We also re-ordered the garlic prawn and a deep fried cod roll.Before we left we had another jar of sangria. I was already affected by the alcohol and I didn't know what I ordered. this was the recommanded one from the waitress, but she was right. This one is more refreshing and fruity. It was mixed with something called CAVA. I don't know what it is but sure it was fizzy and not as bitter as the classic one.
Everyone was busy eating.............................. Good meal, but it costs.......
