  • Dinner at Central -- M at the Fringe

Last night 5 of us went dinner at Central. Friend L suggested this restaurant long ago and since it will be closing at the end of this year, we decided to try it before it die.

It is called M AT THE FRINGE.

Is it a French restaurant? i am not sure, it looked french.

It's actually just M, but it's in the Fringe Club, gave it a longer name. Every dishes or cutlery got the letter "M".

Let's start looking at the food - Appetizers

Mr Ho Jr and I had spanish tapas, each with 3 small dishes: cold soup, meatball and squid. but since I don't eat squid, they kindly changed the dish to another dish of meat ball. that's just great.

The meat ball is like ordinary meatball, and that's why i like it. the cold soup was great. it was so thick that it's like dips for nachos, we didn't drink it, we ate it with bread.

Friend L had a Crab Souffle and bistro. It's beautiful~

    Dig in~~!!!!

Time flies......Here came the main course.

Mr Ho Jr's Steak Diane, Friend B's clam pasta.......

The steak was very tender and the mustard source was delicious. The clam pasta is not exactly what we thought it would be, it's spicy........ poor Friend B who doesn't eat spicy food.

Friend L's pastry thing ( i don't know what it is even AFTER I ate it.....) and Mrs Ho Jr's Beetroot Ravioli. ( I meant to have this as appetizer but skipped it because of the beetroot......)

As I said, i don't know what's in the pastry, all i can feel was it was very hot.........  the ravioli, I only had abit of the skin, but the toasted beetroot slice looks pretty.

Last but not least.... at all~~ My roast sucklings pig~!!!!

Can't describe it with words, crispy outside, juicy inside, the fat melted and became juicy of the meat. It was really good. But the portion was so big made me super full................ especially when it came with mashed potato...........

The table was cleaned after the dishes are gone..... wait............ what's that?????

We were all so full, but Friend L still suggested we share a dessert, which was a very smart decision. I don't know what it is, it's not on the menu. but the lemon filling in the middle and sugar topping were good combination.

See the hands reaching for the food?

After the nice food, Mr and Mrs Ho Jr were rushing to leave as they got round 2 in CWB. so we left. Didn't have chance to take pics while going up to the restaurant, took some while we are leaving.

    The entrance.

    Long staircase down........

And here is the main entrance. I think this spot lights are so in style~

Said good bye to Friend L outside the restaurant, Friend B and I went to take bus 1 back home. Bus stop opp HSBC Building.

    Friend L, good suggestion. I love the sucklings a lot~~  Thanks~
