Try out the MZD 14-150MM Lens with E-P1
I can finally try out the new MZD 14-150MM F4.0-5.6 lens from Olympus last Sunday. Really Sunny day.
It covers focal length 14-150MM, which is equals to 28mm-300mm in 35mm measure.
this is 17mm which is approximately 34.1mm eqv. 35mm.
How far can it zoom into exactly?
zoom in alittle..... 25mm, 35mm eqv. 50mm. F4.7.
Below are zoomed to the furthest. 300MM (35 eqv.)
Even zooming will reduce the size of Aperture, this one with F5.6 still gives a shallow depth of field.
You could see these places in the 1st pic, this is the beach on the lower right corner, the Repulse Bay. (not crowded, i should consider skimboarding there.......
)
And this is the gate just under the big cloud, above the white house at the bottom in 1st pic. The zoom is quite powerful and enough for me.
Again, I finally don't have to focus manually.
( by walking forward or backward.....)
1 thing about this lense i am not used to is that once it is zoomed, when focusing manually, it kept shaking when i was turning the ring which made me feel dizzy very quickly... I'll have to train my hands to make them more steady.
